15hrs of funding becomes available for all children the term after they turn 9 months old for working parents from September 2024 (increasing to 30 hours from September 2025).
You can check your eligibility and apply using the 'Childcare Choices' link. If accepted a confirmation/funding code will be generated. Please provide this code to your setting so that the funding form can be completed for you to sign allowing us to apply for the funding for your child. Funding can be used in the following ways:
2 year old funding has now been extended to include working parents. Please use the 'Childcare Choices' link to check your eligibility. Once you have input your details you will then be provided with the options of childcare funding available along with the relevant links.
Funding becomes available the term after their 2nd birthday and must be applied for by the parent(s). Once you you have the funding code then please provide the funding code to your setting so that a funding form can be created for you to sign in order to enable us to claim the funding for your child's fees.
The 2 year old funding provides 15 hours of childcare a week which you can use in the following ways:
15hrs of funding becomes available for all children the term after their 3rd birthday. These 15hrs can be allocated in the same way as the 2 year-old funding (either 15hrs or 11hrs a week).
Working parents may be eligible for up to 30hrs of childcare funding a week. You can check your eligibility and apply using the 'Childcare Choices' link. The extended funding can be used in the following ways:
You can get up to £500 every 3 months (up to £2,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare. This goes up to a £1,000 every 3 months (up to £4,000 a year) if a child is disabled.
You will need to register for an online childcare account (check your eligibility using the link below). Once set up for every £8 you pay into your online childcare account the Government will pay in £2 for you to use towards your childcare costs. This tax-free childcare can be used alongside any 30hr funding being claimed (subject to eligibility).
